Supporting rangers
Rangers are important for the protection of wildlife in most areas of the world, guarding them against poachers. And yet: rangers cannot be out in the wild all the time – but fellow animals can. They warn against predators as well as against poachers.
Researchers have developed ways to learn from the collective of animals to understand when poachers are on the move.
